Annual SCPC in Manchester
The Manchester Santa Claus Pub Crawl has a long tradition and its folklore and stories have kept budding elves, santas, sexy miss santas, fairies and even a pantomime reindeer coming back for more. The idea originated from a pub crawl in Melbourne and now Manchester has welcomed the idea. It is through the streets of Manchester where everyone is singing, dancing and being oh so merry not to mention a bit silly. Highlights include:
- The "pants-down-santa-sprint" down Brazzenose street
- carol singing to the masses in Albert Square
- Singing Christmas carols to famous footballers at posh restaurant
- Paying homage to the giant Santa on the Town Hall
- Rudolph the reindeer with his flashing bits
- Santas rowing on indoor rowing machines
- Singing carols on the tram
Attendees include: Australians living in the UK Agecroft Rowing Club members and friends A few santas from the Netherlands, France and Germany Plus many local Mancunians and other Brits from around England, Scotland and Wales. 2005 saw 183 Santas on the tour. This included a boat trip from the Agecroft rowing club into the heart of Manchester. £600 was raised for Rainbow House charity for disabled children
